On July 25, 2023, the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON), in partnership with the Senior Citizens Association of Barangay Sta. Escolastica, Baguio City, conducted an impactful seminar focused on mental health and self-awareness for senior citizens. The seminar featured UC-CON faculty member Gomer Ponso as the guest speaker, who provided insights into mental well-being tailored specifically to the needs of older adults.

Topics covered included coping mechanisms and stress management techniques designed to enhance mental resilience and emotional stability among senior citizens. The seminar highlighted strategies for managing stress and fostering self-awareness, encouraging participants to embrace practices that promote a balanced and positive outlook on life.
