UC-CON Faculty Attend the 2024 Mental Health and Well-being RESET Summit in Baguio City

Advancing mental health awareness, resilience, and workplace well-being through continuing education.

Baguio City — Faculty members from the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON) attended the 2024 Mental Health and Well-being RESET Summit, a significant gathering of experts dedicated to strengthening mental health initiatives and promoting emotional resilience in both personal and professional contexts.

The summit featured a diverse range of sessions designed to equip participants with evidence-based tools and holistic approaches to mental wellness. Topics included:

  • Stress Management through Quantum Biofeedback – Charlene Reeves, DNM
  • Nervous System Reset – Mona Valdes, MD
  • Healing through Relationships – Brenda V. Fortune, PhD, LMHC, LMFT
  • Undoing Shame – Maria Bryce Fabro, PhD, Co-founder of the Emotional Reset Center, USA, LLC
  • Mind & Body Connection – Richie-Ann Rodriguez, MD
  • Manhood & Mental Health – Don Fortune, D.SL, CCLC, MFLC
  • Grief Resilience – Lissa De Guia
  • Self-Leadership and Mental Well-being in the Workplace – Engelbert Camasura, FPM, MBA, and Vida Santos-Arciaga

Each session offered practical insights into managing stress, enhancing emotional regulation, fostering meaningful relationships, and implementing sound mental health policies within organizations.

Through their participation, UC-CON faculty members gained valuable strategies for promoting mental well-being, self-leadership, and resilience—insights that they aim to integrate into nursing education, student support, and community engagement. This participation reaffirms UC-CON’s commitment to nurturing not only competent nurse professionals but also mentally healthy and emotionally intelligent educators and leaders.
