Celebrating creativity, resilience, and sustainability through storytelling.
The University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON) emerged victorious in the 2023–2024 UC #GreenIsIn Video-Making Competition held in March 2024, earning First Place among thirteen participating teams.
Their winning entry featured the inspiring true story of Gemma, a student nurse who gracefully balances her dual roles as a ballerina and a mother. The short film follows Gemma’s life as a dance—one filled with challenges, aspirations, and unwavering determination. Through her story, the video captured a powerful message: that success is not measured by awards or recognition but by the resilience, discipline, and strength built along the journey.
The #GreenIsIn initiative highlights UC’s commitment to environmental awareness, sustainability, and creativity. The College of Nursing’s success reflects not only the students’ artistic vision but also their capacity to integrate meaningful storytelling with values of empathy, perseverance, and environmental consciousness.
This achievement underscores UC-CON’s holistic approach to education—where artistry, advocacy, and academic excellence converge to inspire both personal and societal transformation.
