UC-CON Excels at the Second Edition of the Anastacia Giron-Tupas Nursing Olympics

Excellence, leadership, and dedication shine through UC Nursing’s outstanding performance.

The University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON) once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence as its representatives delivered an outstanding performance at the second edition of the Anastacia Giron-Tupas (AGT) Nursing Olympics, organized by the Carl Balita Review Center in March 2024. Competing against nursing schools from across the region, the UC-CON teams proudly upheld the university’s name, embodying both competence and character in the field of nursing education.

Team A, composed of Kayzee Oviedo (Level 4)Nicholai Escalona (Level 3), and Melchor Sicco (Level 2), secured Third Place overall in the Skills and Quiz Bee and also placed Third Best in the Promotional Video category. Meanwhile, Team B, consisting of Jaysiebelle Lam-in (Level 4)Lavern Agorilla (Level 3), and Francine Milo (Level 2), earned recognition as Best in Skills for Medical-Surgical Nursing and ranked Seventh Overall in the Skills and Quiz Bee competition.

Guided by Ma’am Vanessa Joy Gasat, with the support of Clydee Pinkihan and John Dave Abran, the students’ success reflects the exceptional mentorship and collaborative spirit that define UC-CON. Their achievements exemplify not only academic excellence but also the values of perseverance, teamwork, and integrity that the college continually instills in its learners.
