Promoting Accessible Health Services and Strengthening Community Partnerships

The University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON), in partnership with Project H.E.L.E.N., successfully conducted “Operation Tuli” on July 20, 2024, at the UC-CON Nursing Laboratory. The circumcision drive served the residents of Barangay Lopez Jaena, providing essential healthcare services while promoting health education and awareness within the community.
Supervised by UC-CON faculty and partner medical professionals, nursing students performed circumcision procedures and provided post-care teaching to clients and parents. The activity offered valuable experiential learning, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge, enhance their clinical skills, and develop a deeper sense of compassion and service.
Residents and parents expressed appreciation for the accessible, safe, and high-quality medical care extended through the initiative. The collaboration between UC-CON and Project H.E.L.E.N. underscored the College’s dedication to community engagement and its ongoing mission to promote holistic health and well-being.
