Showcasing Excellence in Nursing Education and Research Collaboration

Twelve Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students from two research teams presented their studies on Nursing Education and Practice during the Scientific Program Sessions at the Nurse Educators and Practitioners’ Guild, Inc. (NEPRAGuild) Midyear Conference and Workshop, held from July 19 to 20, 2024.
These research projects, developed as part of the students’ coursework in Nursing Research 1 and 2, showcased their commitment to advancing nursing education through evidence-based inquiry and scholarly collaboration.
Hosted by the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON), the conference featured workshops and sessions designed for both student nurses and healthcare professionals, fostering an environment of shared learning, mentorship, and professional growth. The event also strengthened ties among academic institutions and practitioners committed to excellence in nursing education and practice.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Alignment
This initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
SDG 17.17 – Encourage and promote effective public, public-private, and civil-society partnerships.
The collaboration between NEPRAGuild and UC-CON highlights the value of academic partnerships in advancing nursing research and education.
SDG 4.4 – Increase the number of youth and adults with relevant skills for employment and decent work.
By engaging in research and scholarly presentations, nursing students develop analytical and professional competencies essential for their future roles in healthcare.
