On July 27, 2024, a total of 980 student nurses participated in the 20th Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremonies held at the UC Gymnasium, marking their formal preparation for hospital and community responsibilities.

During this meaningful event, the student nurses received their caps, symbolizing their professionalism and dedication to the nursing field. They also lit candles, representing their quest for knowledge, while the lamps signified the guidance, hope, and comfort they will provide to their patients. The pins they received highlighted their achievements and affirmed their identities as nurses.

These student nurses are set to begin their clinical practice and community immersion in the first semester of SY 2024-2025.
