Building Global Nursing Excellence Through International Collaboration

UC-CON Joins Taipei Medical University’s Advanced Healthcare Professional Training Program

The University of the Cordilleras – College of Nursing (UC-CON) continues to strengthen its international linkages as it proudly participated in the Summer School: Advanced Healthcare Professional Training Program hosted by Taipei Medical University (TMU) from July 8 to 19, 2024 in Taipei, Taiwan.

This international program brought together 27 Filipino health professionals for a two-week intensive learning experience designed to enhance global competencies in nursing education, clinical practice, and healthcare innovation. Representing UC-CON was Mr. Gilbert Bernardino, marking a significant milestone in the College’s pursuit of meaningful global academic engagement.

Participants explored TMU’s cutting-edge education systems and were immersed in hands-on learning through visits to state-of-the-art simulation and research laboratories, affiliated hospitals, and community-based health care centers. The training showcased TMU’s interdisciplinary learning model, innovative curriculum, and technology-integrated health care services—providing attendees with expanded perspectives on modern nursing leadership and global health practices.

UC-CON’s representation in this international program reinforces its commitment to cultivating a globally competent nursing workforce. Exposure to advanced health systems and international best practices elevates the College’s academic and professional standards, paving the way for future collaborations in research, faculty development, and student exchange initiatives.
