Fostering Experiential Learning and Local Health Collaboration

Level 4 students from the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON) officially commenced their community duty rotations for the 2024–2025 academic year with a courtesy call at the Mayor’s Office in the Kapangan Municipal Hall. The activity marked an important milestone as students transitioned from classroom learning to hands-on practice in real-world healthcare environments.
The nursing students continued their outreach by visiting the Rural Health Center, Barangay Hall, and Barangay Health Stations, where they introduced themselves and built relationships with local health personnel. These early engagements laid the groundwork for collaboration in delivering essential health services to the community throughout their duty period.
This initiative highlights UC-CON’s dedication to community-based learning and public health service, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge while contributing to the well-being of residents. Through experiences like these, UC-CON continues to strengthen its partnerships with local government units and health facilities across Benguet.
