UC-CON Faculty Participate in Reverse Pitching Event to Engage Students in Real-World Problem Solving

On September 17, 2024, faculty members from the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON) joined the innovative “Reverse Pitching” event, an interactive session designed to connect organizations with students ready to tackle real-world challenges. This event invited participants from local government units (LGUs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), academic institutions, and the private sector to present their unique organizational challenges to students from UC’s Research and Innovation programs.

Reverse Pitching shifts the traditional pitch model by having organizations present their problems to students, who then devise creative and practical solutions tailored to these specific challenges. Through this approach, students apply fresh perspectives and innovative thinking to real-world issues, enhancing their problem-solving skills and preparing them for future professional roles.

Representing UC-CON were Research Coordinator Gilbert D. Bernardino Jr., and faculty members Ferdinand C. Tercero and Reuben Victor M. Laguitan. Their participation underscored UC-CON’s commitment to integrating practical learning opportunities with academic coursework, empowering students to impact their communities positively while expanding their professional and research capabilities.
