Showcasing Excellence, Teamwork, and UC Pride in Nursing Education
October 11, 2024 – University of the Philippines, Diliman. The University of the Cordilleras (UC) College of Nursing proudly represented UC at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center’s 22nd Battle of the Nightingales – NCR Cluster, held at the GT Toyota Asian Center, UP Diliman.
The competition brought together top nursing schools in the country to test their knowledge, skills, and critical thinking through a series of academic and clinical challenges, celebrating the intellect and dedication of future nurses.
Team UC: Dedication and Excellence in Action
The UC-CON team was led by Coach Ms. Vanessa Joy Gasat and composed of Level 4 students:
- Zwiesel Fie Gawi
- Chrisphine Adelle Pineda
- Iola Velasco
Supporting them were assistant coaches and former Battle of the Nightingales champions John Dave Abran, Clyde Pinkihan, and Kayzee Oviedo, who shared their expertise and mentorship throughout the competition.
Their performance reflected the team’s discipline, teamwork, and commitment to excellence, hallmarks of UC-CON’s holistic approach to nursing education.
