UC College of Nursing Upholds Quality Standards Through IQA Training Participation

Strengthening Institutional Excellence Through Continuous Improvement

Baguio City – November 2024. The University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON) reaffirmed its commitment to quality and excellence by participating in the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Training – Batch 2 Series, an institutional initiative aimed at enhancing compliance with ISO 21001:2018 standards and preparing the university for its upcoming external audit.


UC-CON’s Commitment to Quality Assurance

Leading the on-campus UC-CON delegation was Dean Dr. Judith Odanee G. Magwilang, joined by Level 4 Coordinator Dr. Sheila Maria BatoonLevel 3 Coordinator Mrs. Josephine Mingerfaculty member Mrs. Grace Espino, and administrative staff Mr. Romeo Fernandez.

Contributing off-campus were Level 2 Coordinator Mrs. Nasper Anod and Program Coordinator and Quality Assurance Officer Mrs. Judith Layao, whose engagement underscored UC-CON’s unified effort to uphold and strengthen the university’s quality assurance systems.

The training provided participants with updated knowledge of internal auditing processes, focusing on identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring adherence to international educational standards.


A Culture of Continuous Improvement

UC-CON’s active participation in the IQA Training reflects its enduring pursuit of academic and operational excellence. By aligning internal processes with the ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organization Management System (EOMS), the college continues to refine its policies, promote efficiency, and enhance service delivery for both faculty and students.

Through initiatives like this, UC-CON demonstrates a strong commitment to cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous quality improvement—core elements that ensure sustainable growth in nursing education.
