The University of Baguio Cardinals Gymnasium came alive on December 22, 2024, as topnotching nursing graduates, school officials, and esteemed guests gathered to celebrate the achievements of Cordillera’s finest nurses in a solemn and inspiring Recognition and Oath-Taking Ceremony.
The event, organized in partnership with the Cordillera Association of Nursing Deans (CAND), the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA), and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), showcased the remarkable accomplishments of top-performing nursing schools and board topnotchers.
Honoring Excellence in Nursing
The ceremony began with a processional featuring top-performing school officials, topnotchers, and representatives from PNA, PRC, and the Professional Regulatory Board of Nursing. This year’s honorees included:

- Mr. Paul Krister Ogoy Corpuz, Rank 8, Saint Louis University
- Ms. Ma. Sandra De Vera Dimaano, Rank 9, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-Agoo
- Ms. Roselle Kaithrynne Garabiles Celi, Rank 10, University of Baguio
- Mr. Jade Angelo De Guzman Galito, Rank 10, Saint Louis University
- Ms. Sophia Lorraine Acosta Songcuan, Rank 10, Saint Louis University
Each topnotcher, along with their school officials and families, was recognized for their dedication, perseverance, and excellence.
Inspiring Messages and Oath-Taking
Dr. Judith Odanee G. Magwilang, Dean of the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing and Governor of PNA-CAR, delivered a heartfelt message and administered the PNA Membership Oath and Pinning Ceremony. Her speech emphasized the importance of leadership, collaboration, and resilience in the nursing profession.
Hon. Leah Primitiva S. Paquiz, Member of the Professional Regulatory Board of Nursing, administered the Oath of Professional Nurses and awarded certificates to the top-performing schools and topnotchers.
The ceremony was further highlighted by the Florence Nightingale Pledge led by Ms. Ma. Sandra De Vera Dimaanoand the inspiring response from Ms. Trisha Nicole Navarro Oller, Rank 4 topnotcher.
Top Performing Schools
The PRC recognized outstanding schools for their exemplary performance in the recent Nursing Licensure Examination. These included:
- Saint Louis University – Rank 1 (50-99 examinees)
- Ifugao State University – Rank 3 (100 or more examinees)
A Celebration of Unity and Excellence
The event concluded with the Nurses Prayer and the PNA Hymn, symbolizing the unity and commitment of the nursing community to uphold the values of care, compassion, and excellence.
