Baguio City, February 19, 2025 – The University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON) conducted a General Orientation for Level IV nursing students at the UC Theatre, ensuring they are well-informed about academic and graduation requirements and board examination preparations. The event commenced at 8:00 AM with an invocation, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the UC Hymn.



The first speaker, Mr. Joaquin Antonio Fianza from the Registrar’s Office, provided a comprehensive discussion on the graduation requirements and other registrar-related concerns. He also addressed students’ inquiries regarding the necessary documents and processes to ensure a smooth transition to graduation.

Dr. Sheila Maria Batoon, Level IV Coordinator, followed with an in-depth presentation on academic and duty requirements, proper conduct, prescribed uniforms, and the various templates and forms required for graduation and Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) filing. Her discussion aimed to guide students in fulfilling all obligations before the completion of their nursing program.
The final speaker, Ms. Sonia Olnanigon, Board Exam Coordinator, outlined the schedule and structure of the Intensive Nursing Practice Course, a crucial component in preparing students for the Nursing Licensure Examination (NLE). She also addressed other essential concerns regarding board exam readiness.

During the orientation, Level IV faculty members were presented, reinforcing the support system available to students as they approach the culmination of their nursing education. The event provided a platform for students to clarify doubts and ensure they are on the right track toward graduation and licensure.
