UC College of Nursing Faculty Members Support Board Examinees in Baguio City

The University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC CON) faculty members showed their steadfast support for UC alumni taking the May 2025 Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE) held at Baguio City National High School. Demonstrating genuine care and commitment, the faculty arrived early on both days—May 5 and 6—to warmly welcome, encourage, and motivate the examinees as they prepared to take this significant step toward becoming licensed professionals.

In addition to their presence, the faculty organized and provided snacks and meals for the alumni throughout the two-day examination period. This thoughtful gesture served not only to nourish but also to remind the takers that they are never alone—that their mentors and the UC CON community are behind them every step of the way.

The NLE, administered by the Professional Regulatory Board of Nursing, comprises five key parts:

  1. Nursing Practice I – Community Health Nursing
  2. Nursing Practice II – Care of Healthy/At Risk Mother and Child
  3. Nursing Practice III – Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations (Part A)
  4. Nursing Practice IV – Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations (Part B)
  5. Nursing Practice V – Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations (Part C)

These exams assess a wide range of nursing knowledge and competencies, integrating core sciences such as Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, and Microbiology, and aligning with the 11 Key Areas of Responsibility outlined in the Philippine Nursing Competency Standards.

With warmth, encouragement, and tangible support, the UC CON faculty made sure their presence was felt—not just as educators, but as a family rooting for the success of their own.

To our alumni, your UC family believes in you.
As you take each step, may confidence, wisdom, and grace guide you. You are prepared, you are capable, and you are never alone.

We wish you all the best in the Nurses Licensure Examination!
Proudly UC Nurse. Proudly Cordilleran.
