UC College of Nursing Faculty Joins “Train the Trainers for Technopreneurship 11 – Finals”
On June 25, 2025, faculty members from the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC CON) took part in the “Train the Trainers for Technopreneurship 11 – Finals” program organized by the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (InTO). The full-day training was held at the UC InTO hub, Legarda Campus, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and highlighted the university’s commitment to nurturing innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial thinking across all disciplines.
The event opened with registration and a pre-program session led by the InTO staff, followed by opening remarks from Dr. Thelma D. Palaoag, Director of InTTO. Mr. Rizagail Trishia T. Requiero, Business Development Associate, then presented an overview of the Technopreneurship 100 Finals and introduced the day’s key topics and speakers.
A major highlight of the program was the engaging session on Prototyping and Usability Testing Using AI, where participants explored cutting-edge tools to develop and evaluate innovative solutions through artificial intelligence. This session ran through the morning and continued after the break, equipping attendees with both theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
After a lunch break, the afternoon session focused on Crafting Effective Pitch Presentations—a vital skill in transforming ideas into real-world impact. Participants were guided on how to structure compelling pitches that highlight problem-solving, innovation, and user relevance.
Later in the afternoon, Ms. Lovely Jenn A. Reformado, Lead for Startup Development at InTO, gave a brief introduction to the Technopreneurship Demo Day, a platform where participants and student innovators showcase their startup ideas and prototypes. The program concluded with the Awarding of Certificates of Participation and final announcements.

The participation of UC CON faculty in this initiative reinforces the college’s goal to integrate technopreneurial and interdisciplinary approaches into nursing education—empowering nurse educators not only as health professionals but also as innovators prepared to address real-world challenges.
