August 26, 2025 – La Trinidad, Benguet

The University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON) conducted a courtesy call to the newly elected Municipal Mayor of La Trinidad, Hon. Roderick Chiok Awingan, on August 26, 2025, at the Mayor’s Office, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Representing UC-CON were Level II Coordinator, Mrs. Nasper P. Anod, and Dean Judith Odanee G. Magwilang. The visit underscored the College’s continued commitment to strengthening partnerships with the Municipality of La Trinidad, which has long been a valued community health partner in the conduct of nursing students’ community duties.

Mayor Awingan warmly received the representatives from UC-CON and expressed his support for sustained collaboration in advancing health and wellness initiatives for the people of La Trinidad. The meeting reinforced the shared vision of both the Municipality and UC-CON in fostering healthier communities while providing nursing students with meaningful community-based learning experiences.

Through this partnership, UC-CON reaffirms its mission of developing competent, compassionate, and community-oriented nurses who are responsive to the needs of society.
