UC CON Faculty Showcases Expertise at APEX 2025

Quezon City, Philippines – September 28, 2025

Mr. Lester June Chumacog, MAN, RN, a faculty member of the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC CON), represented the school at the 9th Annual Postgraduate Course – APEX (Achieving the Pinnacle of Excellence in Cardiovascular Care), held from September 22 to 24, 2025, at the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City.

APEX 2025 brought together cardiology specialists and healthcare professionals to discuss the latest advancements in cardiovascular care. The conference featured sessions on Ischemic Heart DiseaseCongenital and Valvular Heart Disease, and Vascular Medicine and Electrophysiology, led by distinguished experts. Attendees also participated in interactive activities, including “Beat-to-Beat: War of Wits” and “ECG Mastermind 2025”, designed to sharpen clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Mr. Chumacog’s participation underscores UC CON’s commitment to continuous professional development and the integration of current healthcare knowledge into nursing education. By engaging in such events, the faculty contributes to the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
