The University of the Cordilleras – College of Nursing (UC-CON) proudly participated in the 66th National Convention and General Assembly of the Association of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing (ADPCN) held at the Fiesta Pavilion, Manila Hotel.
Representing UC-CON were Dean Dr. Judith Odanee G. Magwilang, Program Chair and Quality Assurance Officer Mrs. Judith A. Layao, and Level IV Coordinator Mrs. Josephine G. Minger. Their participation reflects UC-CON’s commitment to advancing nursing education, faculty development, and academic quality aligned with national and global health priorities.
About the Convention
With the theme “Transforming Nursing Education: Advancing Practice, Strengthening Primary Health Care, Enriching Clinical and Community Experience,” the convention gathered deans, faculty, and academic leaders from across the Philippines to discuss innovations shaping the future of nursing education.
Organized by the Association of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing (ADPCN), the event provided a dynamic platform for sharing best practices, policy priorities, and digital innovations that strengthen curriculum design, community immersion, and service-learning programs. Sessions emphasized the importance of evidence-based, competency-driven, and outcome-oriented instruction in achieving Universal Health Care (UHC) and enhancing the country’s Primary Health Care system.
