The University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences proudly recognizes Ms. Thylaine Zaifa Lesino and her group mates, UC nursing students currently on clinical duty at Caba District Hospital. On February 16, 2026, during their duty, she found a violet colored wallet containing cash and immediately turned it over to the authorities so it could be safely returned to its rightful owner. The wallet is now under the custody of the Caba Municipal Police Station. Her action demonstrated integrity not only as a student nurse but also as a responsible member of the community.
Though seemingly simple, the act reflects the core values expected of future healthcare professionals honesty, accountability, and compassion. Nursing is grounded not only on clinical competence but also on character, and moments like this remind everyone that ethical practice begins even outside patient care. The UC CONAHS community commends her for upholding the ideals of the nursing profession and for representing the university with dignity and trustworthiness.
