Empowering Health, Championing Rights: UYAHH Wins People’s Choice at Valentine’s Day Advocacy

On February 14, 2026, the University of the Cordilleras Youth and Adolescent Sexuality and Reproductive Health Hub transformed the UC Gymnasium into a welcoming and informative space through its Love Booth advocacy. The initiative provided free, inclusive, and stigma free sexual and reproductive health services to students, teaching personnel, and non teaching staff. In partnership with Balay Marvi by LoveYourself and FPOP Baguio Benguet, participants learned proper condom use, perineal hygiene, and self breast examination. Essential supplies such as condoms, lubricants, cycle beads, and pregnancy test kits were also distributed, accompanied by family planning counseling and open discussions in a respectful and supportive environment.

The booth received the People’s Choice Award, reflecting strong community engagement and appreciation for accessible and respectful reproductive health education. The activity highlighted the importance of awareness, informed decision making, and safe spaces where individuals can seek guidance without fear of stigma. Through programs like this, UC CONAHS continues to advance health education and uphold the right of every individual to accurate information and responsible care.
