On July 29, 2024, the University Student Council, in partnership with the College of Nursing, successfully hosted a community outreach event that offered essential health assessments to UCians and members of the public. Held in Room F501 from 8 AM to 5 PM, the event provided a variety of free basic health services, including vital signs assessments such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and body temperature checks, as well as blood glucose testing.
The outreach event attracted approximately 100 participants, including students, faculty, staff, and community members, all eager to take advantage of the free health services offered. This initiative not only aimed to provide basic health assessments but also focused on promoting vital health information within the community, reinforcing the commitment of both the University Student Council and the College of Nursing to enhance the well-being of those they serve
