The Family Planning Organization of the Philippines (FPOP) proudly celebrated its 55th founding anniversary on August 4, 2024, commemorating decades of dedicated service to community health and empowerment. The UC Youth and Adolescents Sexuality and Reproductive Health Hub (UYAHH), in partnership with the UC College of Nursing (UC CON) and FPOP Baguio-Benguet, was honored to partake in this significant occasion.
To advance its mission of promoting health and well-being, FPOP, alongside its affiliates and partners, organized a medical mission on August 16, 2024, at Malcolm Square in Baguio City, themed “Embracing Change for Sustainability.” This initiative offered a variety of free medical services, including blood pressure monitoring, blood cholesterol testing, blood glucose testing, uric acid testing, nerve testing, general check-ups, HIV screening and counseling, as well as the distribution of condoms and contraceptive pills. Together, we demonstrated our shared commitment to community empowerment and sustainable healthcare, providing essential services and support to those in need. We celebrate not only 55 years of FPOP’s impactful journey but also our ongoing efforts to foster a healthier and more empowered future.
