The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) successfully collaborated with the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON) to facilitate the filing for the November 2024 Nurse Licensure Examination and the renewal of professional licenses.
Held at the Nursing Laboratory (N-LAB), the activity provided nursing students and registered professionals with convenient access to PRC services within the campus. This initiative demonstrated UC-CON’s proactive commitment to supporting its students and alumni in achieving professional readiness and success.
By bringing PRC services closer to the UC community, the collaboration streamlined processes for aspiring nurses preparing for the board examination and professionals maintaining their credentials. The event also underscored UC-CON’s role as a bridge between education and professional practice, reinforcing its dedication to lifelong learning and service.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Alignment
This initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
SDG 17.17 – Encourage and promote effective partnerships between the public, private, and civil sectors.
The partnership between UC-CON and PRC exemplifies effective institutional collaboration in strengthening nursing education and professional practice.
SDG 4.4 – Increase the number of youth and adults with relevant skills for employment and decent work.
Through collaboration with PRC, UC-CON enhances students’ preparedness for licensure and supports professional development among alumni.
