UC CONAHS Participates in the UC ISO Internal Quality Audit

Demonstrating Commitment to Institutional Excellence and Continuous Quality Improvement

The University of the Cordilleras conducted its ISO Internal Quality Audit from November 10–21, 2025, covering academic, administrative, and support units across all campuses. The College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CONAHS) played an active role throughout the process—both as auditors and as an auditee—underscoring its strong commitment to quality assurance and continuous institutional improvement.

As part of the university-wide audit activities, Mr. Romeo Fernandez and Ms. Maribel Certeza audited the Medical Clinics of the Main Campus, Grade School, Legarda Campus, and the University Dental Clinic. In parallel, Dean Judith Odanee G. Magwilang and Program Chair Judith A. Layao completed the audit of the College of Business Administration, while Dr. Sheila Maria Batoon and Ms. Grace Espino assessed the College of Arts and Sciences. Additionally, Ms. Nasper Anod and Ms. Josephine Minger audited the Research Services Office, completing the cycle of interdepartmental quality evaluation from November 13–18, 2025.

The College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences underwent its audit on November 20, 2025, facilitated by Ms. J-Lyn Espiritu of the College of Teacher Education and Mr. Tsude de Vera of the Senior High School Department. The auditors examined CONAHS’ key functional areas, including curriculum and instruction, faculty qualifications and development, research and extension, student services, community engagement, and adherence to documentation and ISO-aligned quality processes.

The participation of CONAHS administrators and coordinators as both auditors and auditees highlights the College’s dedication to accountability, transparency, and a culture of continuous improvement. Their involvement contributes significantly to the University’s efforts toward sustaining ISO standards and strengthening UC’s institutional quality systems.

Through this audit cycle, UC CONAHS reaffirms its commitment to delivering exemplary, outcomes-based education—ensuring that its programs remain aligned with global standards while nurturing competent and compassionate professionals in the health sciences.
