On November 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM, the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON), under the leadership of Dean Dr. Judith Odanee G. Magwilang, facilitated a benchmarking session at the UC Conference Room. This session brought together the Information Technology Systems and Services (ITSS) department of UC and the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center – Human Resource Development (BGHMC-HRD) team.
The primary objective of the session was to explore best practices in integrating information technology within the healthcare sector. Led by Jonathan O. Castillo, Director of ITSS, the meeting aimed to enhance collaboration between the two institutions. Key participants from BGHMC-HRD included Administrative Officer V Robert R. Obligado, Administrative Officers Kevin Jan M. Castillo and Karl P. Asingal, and Administrative Assistants Jeffered Jet K. Agnad, Mark Ian L. De Guzman, John Daryll M. Enrico, and Cesar Angelo G. Sancio.
The benchmarking aimed to improve the efficiency of both institutions by exchanging ideas and strategies on utilizing technological advancements for better educational outcomes and enhanced healthcare services. UC-CON and BGHMC-HRD collaborated on identifying areas for improvement in information systems and their application in nursing education and practice, setting the foundation for future cooperation between the two institutions
