Empowering Health and Awareness: A Successful Initiative at the 2024 Love Month Celebration

The College of Nursing Student Council, in collaboration with the University of the Cordilleras Youth and Adolescent Sexuality and Reproductive Health Hub (UYAHH) and the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines-Baguio City, made a significant impact at the 2024 Love Month Celebration held on February 14, 2024, at the UC Gymnasium. Their booth, titled “Think Before You Trust: The TT Project,” garnered several prestigious awards, including the PRAGMA AWARD for Best Booth and multiple special awards for creativity, execution, cleanliness, and popularity. These accolades highlight the team’s commitment to raising awareness about intimate health and responsible relationships.

The booth offered a range of valuable services to promote health and well-being among the youth, including free HIV screening and counseling, contraceptive supplies, and interactive games designed to engage participants meaningfully. The event not only provided essential health information but also created a supportive environment that encouraged open discussions about intimacy and sexual health. The College of Nursing Student Council extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the booth’s success, showcasing the enthusiasm and dedication of the entire team in fostering a healthier community.
