Strengthening Leadership and Professional Involvement in Nursing Practice
November 4, 2024 – Baguio City. Mr. Ken N. Fias-ilon, a dedicated faculty member of the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON), was officially elected to the Board of Directors of the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) – Baguio City Chapter. His election highlights his leadership, professionalism, and commitment to advancing the nursing profession while representing the academic community in regional initiatives.
Promoting Leadership and Professional Engagement
The election, held as part of PNA’s continuous efforts to strengthen nursing leadership, celebrated the organization’s collective mission of unity and service. As a newly elected Board member, Mr. Fias-ilon will take part in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs that promote the growth and empowerment of nurses in the region.
His active role in the PNA-Baguio Chapter demonstrates the integration of academic expertise and professional advocacy, aligning with UC-CON’s vision of producing nurse leaders who are both skilled and socially responsible.

Under the leadership of Dean Dr. Judith Odanee G. Magwilang, UC-CON continues to encourage its faculty to participate in professional organizations such as the PNA.
