UC Student Nurses Represent the University at the 22nd National Conference for Nursing Students

Strengthening Quality Assurance in Nursing Education for a Sustainable Health Workforce

Eight student nurses from the University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing (UC-CON), accompanied by faculty members Mr. Gilbert Bernardino and Mrs. Deksi Lawangen, proudly represented the university at the 22nd National Conference for Nursing Students.

With the theme “Strengthening Quality Assurance in Nursing Education for a Sustainable Health Workforce,” the conference emphasized the importance of advancing nursing education to ensure the development of a skilled, ethical, and globally competent healthcare workforce.


Showcasing Research and Innovation in Nursing

The event featured a series of academic and professional activities, including poster presentations that allowed student nurse researchers to share their innovative studies with peers and experts in the field.

Representing UC-CON, Level 4 nursing students Jomel B. Dumlao and Polly Sharon Fulangen, along with Ashlyn Rhie Amoy and Januel Camarao, presented their research posters focusing on the integration of evidence-based practice and innovations in nursing care. Their work reflected UC-CON’s commitment to research excellence and the continuous improvement of nursing practice.

This meaningful participation enabled students to contribute to national discussions on the future of nursing education, while also gaining valuable experience in presenting scholarly work and networking with student nurses and educators from across the country.
